Can you believe that you can find these for sale????? And at Micheals?? I LOVE them! I wish I had a Michaels in my small Missouri town....hint, hint, hint Michaels! I think it might be a good thing that I did NOT know about this yesterday when I made a trip to the city to visit my mom.....who just happens to have a Michaels store near her! I think I might have spent all of my vacation money.....heck, I STILL might! Enjoy!

To Vacation......or NOT to Vacation?

Well, as of this morning the oil spill was 9 miles off the coast of Pensacola. Which just happens to be in the area of where we were going to vacation......Perdido Key. The oil trajectory model shows that it will hit Perdido Key June 5th......the day we are to arrive.

Memorial Day Pictures

This Memorial Day, while enjoying friends, family & drinks, please remember what it's all about! My wonderful step-father served in the Korean War and 2 VOLUNTARY tours in Vietnam flying spy planes. He passed from Pancreatic Cancer due to exposure from Agent Orange.....he paid the ultimate price serving his country. Luckily he had a fantastic well lived life and loved my mom, my sister and I like we were his own!

Sparkly Wheels

Well, I am hooked! I LOVE making these....and I have NO idea yet what to do with them! Can you see me? Sitting here surrounded by all of these sparkly beaded wheels wondering what-in-the-world to do with them!

You know what I love best about them? My 5 year old daughter can help me make them. After making and tying the first initial circle, I hand her the needle and tell her, for example, "Five tiny brown ones"......and it takes her about 15 minutes to get them, but she does it! AND she LOVES it! AND, if any of you out there know me as a parent, handing my 5 year old a beading needle is not something I do lightly. I actually was near controlled hysteria....but I kept it cool and kept my mouth shut. She only stuck herself one time, and she just put her finger in her mouth and kept on beading! Mama was sweating bullets! Anyway, then I weave it where it needs to go and hand her back the needle. Teamwork!

Random Thursday Thoughts

*I miss having a kitty in the house

*Can NOT wait for our vacation to Perdido Key Florida!

*Lost a total of 26 pounds so far

* Got to get this house cleaned up before our vacation...nothing worse than coming home to a
house that needs to be cleaned

*I have SO many beads, but nothing is inspiring me

*Seriously...how can one little 5 year old have so much stuff?

*I need to be making "lists" instead of being on the computer

*Need to get outside and get some sun before the storms come this afternoon

*Our grass needs mowed....but with the rain coming....

*Can NOT wait for the FOOD we are having for Memorial Day.....it is the same every year.....YUMMY!

Vacation.......Where Are You Going?

Hello! We are trying to decide......and QUICK, I might add....where we want to go on vacation! It occurred to me that I go back to work June 16th so if we want a family vacation, we better hop to it! We are contemplating Pensacola/Perdido Key area (my favorite) or a Disney cruise.....which might be too complicated without having passports!

Where are you going or what are you all doing for your summer vacation? Got any great ideas, favorite places to go? Let me know! I could use some ideas! Thanks!
