Changing It Up

If you see some strange changes happening here on the blog, it is just that I am playing with a new look.....thanks for your patience and PLEASE feel free to give some advice!

Tentative

Hello all! A week from tomorrow, June 1st, I will be flying out of the state for a week long orientation/training, for a new full-time job that I have taken. I am trying to get 'organized'...ha! With the help from Nathalie Girard, one of the MANY great new friends I have met on EtsySecrets.com, I am going to use a blog schedule the she came up with. It is tentative. and of course, I have NO idea if it is going to work unless I give it a try....plus my 100% commitment NOT to give up on all my online/Mad Maggie work. Work that I have spent the last 5 months or so REALLY working hard on! Blogging, designing, Etsy, Twitter, Facebook, listing, making, taking pictures, editing, using forums, reading, learning, designing some more...etc.....

Here is the schedule:

Monday - New Work or Works In Progress (WIP)

Tuesday - Music Video/YouTube Break or How-To Tuesday

Wednesday - Wordless Wednesday

Thursday - Etsy Spotlight or My Etsy Finds

Friday - TGIF! Anything goes...

In my head I see Saturday and Sunday as days to rest, and to get the next weeks blog scheduled or at least outlined!

If you have any suggestions, please feel free to shout them out in a comment, as I could use all the help I can with starting a new job! If there is anything special you wish to see, please let me know! I will be shutting down BOTH Etsy shops while I am out of town in OKC, as I do no have ANY idea if I will be able to get to a computer at all! Oh the withdrawals I am going to have....

Thank You Notepourri!

Hello all! I ordered some new custom "Thank You" stickers from Notepourri on Etsy. They are beautiful! It was a wonderful transaction and Jenn is truly an extremely nice person! I also love to read her blog, and found a very sweet blog post with a little bit of me in it! Look HERE!

And here is a small preview of my new stickers. I chose #1 with my Etsy shop website added underneath. I will take some pictures soon of my new stickers in action.

On a more personal note. My 3 year old daughter Madelyn had her first haircut last Wednesday. My husbands cousin, Teresa, cut it for us. We thought it would be easier on Madelyn to take her to someone she knew, and of course she has seen daddy get his hair cut there before. We talked about it days in advance, and she was SOOO excited for the day to arrive. Daddy and I were under the weather with a nasty stomach bug. He was already on the upswing from it and I was just in the beginning stages. So, daddy took her all by himself and mommy missed out on her baby's first haircut......*tear*. Tim took some great pictures of her during the process and I need to take some of the "after" as her hair is SOOOO cute. It is this little ear-length bob that kind of resembles the "Great Gatsby Era".

She was such a great girl...what did I have to worry about? Look at her! What a trooper. Sometimes I think I don't give her enough credit! Even though she is 3 (almost 4).....I am still a new mommy. I hope that there are many more times like these to come! The days are long, but the years are short!

Do You Wanna Follow Me?

You know, when I was in my very early twenties an older gentleman friend of mine once said that I was a "Sheep Herder".......Hmmmm, this comment provoked much discussion and confusion on my part. He went on to explain that our little "clique" of friends would do anything I asked of them.....hence, follow me like sheep. Honestly, I thought it was a snarky thing to say, but then again I was barely 21 at the time, he in his mid 30's and wanting to date me. I of course was SO NOT interested in him, which then of course offended this gentleman and that snarkyness was his "attitude" for the remainder of our friendship. The friendship did not last much longer because I met my soon-to-be husband, and after meeting him, everything else became insignificant. Where am I going with this you ask?

I was wondering........maybe.........if you wanted to follow me?????

Blogger added a new tool for the sidebar. I put it over on the right. It seems to be a fantastic way to network in the blog world. You can sign up, anonymously it you want, by clicking on "Follow This Blog". A little window will pop up, you can then click "Follow publicly" or "Follow anonymously". Then press the bright orange "FOLLOW" button. And your little picture is then in the box there. People will come to my blog and see you, hopefully click on you, and then find your blog and read about you!!!!! See it is networking!!!! It is just another way to get your blog listed. PLUS.....I get to find new blogs that I did not know existed! Cool huh? Well, again, maybe it is the little things in life that excite me!

Well, enjoy the day! It is Friday. It is a miserable wet, dark, and sinus pain day here in Southeast Missouri. Humidity this morning was 94%. It feels like a wet blanket outside today. Hard for my dear elderly patients to breathe today.......which is why I am here updating my blog on work time.....shhhh. Very few of my regulars have come in today....I hope they are alright!

Have a great weekend! We are taking Maddy to a Parents As Teachers party this evening. Diego is going to be there! Isn't that cool? And live animals! I will take plenty of pictures to share! In the mean time.........Go Forth And Create!
