I Guess If You Can't Find It......Make It

Hello all! I have been wanting this watch from Anthropologie, and of course.....it is no longer available. Should have grabbed it when I had the chance, so it looks like I will try and make something similar, while at the same time still coveting the REAL THING! I am going to try and make it tomorrow....do not know how far I will get with it being Halloween....a BIG thing in our house!! I will post pictures though and will await your comments on how it looks!! Take care!

Before And After

Hello all! Got a new hair-do today and I am in LOVE with it! The picture on the left was taken in September 2009, the one on the right today (before heading to work, hence the scrub top). Shorter new do and a little skinnier face, but maybe only I can tell that! I am off to work , have a great day! Enjoy!

Random Monday Thoughts...

*My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this month.
*I am STILL recovering from the intestinal infection. Never thought It would take this long.
*I am back to my RN job full-time, and even back on my favorite ward! Yay!
*We are loving the Midwest Fall weather.
*LOVING the Fall NFL season too....even Madelyn likes to watch the games. She picks her favorite teams by the color of their uniform, or their mascots! HA!
*Much Barbie doll playing going on in this house on the weekend.
*Madelyn has some new friends in the neighborhood, her first. It has been kinda hard for her to remember the playdate RULES!
*It is stressing her daddy and I out!
*Sweet 'n Salty Chex Mix.....oh, they are gooooood!
*Even better with morning coffee.
*Getting jewelry orders done is wearing on me too.....holidays are here!!!
*Looking forward to the weekend....even though it is only Monday.

Just Something I WANT to Make

Hello all! Look what I bought off of Etsy for $8. It is a broken leather purse. Yes....it is! I am going to upcycle it! Into THIS! The blog Just Something I Made is absolutely one of my all time FAVORITE blogs!!! I truly think Cathe Holden is a genius! And, she shares her knowledge with the world through her blog.....ALWAYS a plus in my mind! Thank you Cathe!

I also think that I may be scouring Etsy for other scrap leather, if the pea pods work out, for different colors......maybe to match the other color pearls I have in my stash! In my kookie mind pea pods do not just have to be GREEN!

Illness Delay

Looks like a stomach virus is running through the house. Madelyn missed her first day of Kindergarten last Friday, and as of this morning my husband has been in bed or in the bathroom. This tummy thing has cut my visit with my mom short, as she quickly packed her bags and left this morning. So, there will be a delay in my blogging until I can get everyone back to normal.....ha ha...love that word, NORMAL! Please send prayers and good thoughts my way as I DO NOT want to catch whatever this is! No throwing up for the lady with the Lapband....NOT a good thing! Hope you all had a great weekend!
