Hello all! I made this set for the ABS Challenge this month. I am just wishing I had the drive to make something with them, but alas, it is just not there. So if YOU are interested in them for your challenge piece let me know and they can be YOURS! Hope you all are having a great weekend! Enjoy!

Not Comfortable, But Okay.

Hello all! Heather Powers, over at Art Bead Scene blog posted about some Jewelry Contests that are open. I went and checked out Bead Star. I get their magazine when it becomes available each year, and I go look and vote on my favorites each year too! But, I did something spontaneous......TOTALLY NOT ME! I grabbed two designs I had already made, quickly re-took some photos, edited them, and then.....submitted them! Ack! WHAT was I thinking! Head on over the the ABS blog and maybe you too can do something as silly as get out of YOUR comfort zone! Won't you join me in the land of uncomfortable-ness? Enjoy!

Art Bead Scene December Challenge

Hello all! I have not contributed to the Art Bead Scene Challenge in a long time! There was something about the two inspiration paintings for the December Challenge that really grabbed me. And, well, the muse hit and here is my submission to the Flickr Group for ABS. I am really happy with it!
The pendant was made by myself which is inspired by The Storm, John Anster Fitzgerald. Components: Vintaj Brass, polymer clay beads from Jibby and Juna, beaded ring made by me, recycled glass beads, Czech glass beads, vintage brass curtain ring, Irish Linen waxed cording, brass components and chain, and a vintage Monet brass toggle bar.
Thanks for checking in! Enjoy! :)

Art Bead Scene

Hello all! This is just one of my entries into the May Monthly Challenge over at Art Bead Scene. This is, however, the first one I entered with one of my polymer clay transfer pendants. The inspiration for this months challenge is Claude Monet's Water Lilies. I made the pendant and I knew that I wanted to use my new aged brass glue on bails.....and that was about all I knew. Then I put my daughter down for the night and I laid down beside her....and fell asleep! The design is what came to me right before I fell asleep...the three strings of coordinating seed beads connected by separate wire wraps to one 12mm Vintaj jumpring. The aged brass chain with the Vintaj spiral clasp finishes off the necklace! I can say that the only thing I dislike about it is the Vintaj crimp covers....not fun or easy to use, nor aesthetically pleasing to me! Take a look at the ABS blog and Flickr Group. Both sites are a daily stop for me! Enjoy!
