Playing...Nikon D3100

Hello all! Picked up my new camera Saturday, obviously a new Nikon D3100. I spent the weekend in my PJ's with the family taking pictures of my 2 favorite subjects. I have had the same point and shoot for over 8 years, so it was time I guess to be a big girl and get an adult sized camera!? Well, that's my justification anyway. Probably had NOTHING to do with the fact that I really wanted to have a new hobby......noooo!

Anyhoo, I am still learning, searching, playing, Googling, reading, deleting, laughing and grimacing at the whole experience! Wish me luck and wish me FUN! Thanks for stopping in!

The "L" List

Hello all! The "L" List. It could either stand for Love or Leslie....I have not decided yet. But one thing is for sure....it is modeled after Oprah's "O" List. Things I find, and like or love, I will be randomly showing off here!

First up this Wednesday is a BEAUTIFUL vintage dress from Etsy. I would post the link, but......I bought it the minute I saw it. I am searching for a Vintage or Antique mannequin or dress form for my bedroom as a piece of art and dual use for jewelry pictures/display. This was one of the Google results looking for it. I LOVED it right away and the price was fantastic. My gift from me-to-me for the holidays or a celebration of my weight loss......don't know which one, but who cares, I can justify buying it either way! :) I am just good that way.....HA!

A Sneak Peak

Hello all! Here is a sneak peak at ONE of my designs for Lorelei Eurto's Fusion Beads Reader Challenge. I am telling you, she picked some GORGEOUS beads....in fact the muse has not hit me like this in awhile!! Necklace, earrings and multiple bracelet's were made with these beads! Can NOT wait for the big blog reveal, 01-10-11!

Hello all! Happy 2011! Well, here it is Sunday. The holiday break is almost over. I go back to work tomorrow, Tim goes back Tuesday and Madelyn goes back to school Wednesday.

Today while watching TV an ASPCA commercial came on. I am not sure if I have stated before, but my little one is VEERRRY sensitive! AND and animal lover. So, during the commercial came LOTS of questions, tears, fear and more questions. I answered them truthfully and with as much tact as so not to scare the dickens out of her. Basically I said that as much as we as a family are animal lovers, some animals can not find families that would care for them as we would and some get hurt and go hungry, etc....

Madelyn then ran off the find her old Halloween candy bucket. She sat down with card stock and glitter glue and made a sign that said "ASPCA". She states that after it dries she will attach it to her bucket. Her decision is to take her commission that she earns through household chores, good deeds, and good grades and split it between her piggy bank and the ASPCA Halloween bucket, and at the end of the year donate what she has saved to the organization!

Not sure what I was doing when I was 5 years old, but I don't think it was saving and donating money to help animals! I am one proud mommy!
