Playing...Nikon D3100

Hello all! Picked up my new camera Saturday, obviously a new Nikon D3100. I spent the weekend in my PJ's with the family taking pictures of my 2 favorite subjects. I have had the same point and shoot for over 8 years, so it was time I guess to be a big girl and get an adult sized camera!? Well, that's my justification anyway. Probably had NOTHING to do with the fact that I really wanted to have a new hobby......noooo!

Anyhoo, I am still learning, searching, playing, Googling, reading, deleting, laughing and grimacing at the whole experience! Wish me luck and wish me FUN! Thanks for stopping in!

My Husband Is Good To Me!

He made a fantastic dinner for us! What a sweet man! His specialty is smothered grilled chicken with his secret homemade sauce on top. Marinated chicken breast, grilled on the George, sauteed baby portebello mushrooms, thick slices of bacon, swiss cheese, diced onions and his homemade honey mustard drizzle! He is TOO good to me! He had a baked potato and cream corn with his....I refrained due to my dietary intake being so little anyway! The chicken was enough for me! He spoils me rotten! Where I Am..... PART 2

I know where Maddy and Tim are.....making handmade sock puppets! All in their morning PJ's and ALL before Saturday breakfast even!

I am still here! Still underneath this, but gaining headway........I can see the light!

Tim's NYC Trip

LOTS and LOTS of beautiful NYC trip pictures from the 4th of July weekend......and this is not all of them either! I could not remember all of the places and sites in Tim's pictures so some of them may not have captions, sorry! I hope you enjoy.....or I hope you are not bored to death! He had a great time with his childhood friend Luke. This was a big-deal-trip for my husband as he does not travel.........at all. Mostly because he has never had the chance or means and does NOT like to fly. The few places he has been in his 35 years are Florida (Senior High School Trip) and Washington state with me to visit my family.......and that is it! YEAH for him! I was SO happy and proud of him too! Thank you all for sharing this HUGE moment with us! Take care!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to you all! A special Father's Day "shout out" to my father Mel and my wonderful husband Tim! Both of whom really are 2 of the most fantastic fathers in the world! They are truly the best! Another great man and father was my step-father, Glenn, who sadly has not been with us for over 3 years as he passed away 6 weeks before my daughter was born. He is GREATLY missed every minute of every day! Happy Father's Day Glenn, we love and miss you!

Father's Day is defined by Wikipedia as a celebration of fatherhood and male parenting, and to honor and commemorate our fathers and forefathers. Who knew? Betz White wrote it best in her post about her father. I could not agree more........about my OWN father that is!
Our Father's Day is being spent by lounging in our PJ's, drinking good coffee, playing with Play-Doh, napping, watching Shrek 3, spending time with each other as a family, just in general......nothing too special!

I am truly touched by your words in your post. Thank you again, I am SO glad to have helped you that day! Currently, I am awaiting a shipment of beads to finish new orders, make new designs that are swimming around in my head and well......just plain make my day! It's like Christmas every time there is a box on my front porch! Fun!
