Happy Father's Day!!

Hello and Happy Father's Day!!! I wish my laptop and printer/scanner would "talk" to one another better so I could have added a picture of my own father and step-father here!

For my step-father I borrowed and adjusted a poem I found on Facebook:

Beautiful Lilly's grow in heaven, so Lord pick a bunch for me. Place them in my step-father's arms; tell him they're from me. When he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile, because remembering him is easy, I do it every day. There's an ache in my heart that will NEVER go away! I LOVE and MISS YOU GLENN! Happy Father's Day.

Hello! Happy Monday to you all! I just thought I would show you all....with a little risk of spoiling it for my dad.....what I made this weekend for Father's Day presents! I went with something easy, but personal!! The top pics are of the key chain I made for my father-in-law (whose birthday just happens to be today!!!), and the bottom pics are of the key chain I made for my dad!

My father, who hails from St. Louis, but resides in Oklahoma, is a HUGE Cardinals fan!! GO CARDS! So he is receiving the STL Cardinal bottlecap key chain. Now, my father-in-law likes to watch sports on TV, but we can not actually say he is a huge fan of any particular team, for him we made a key chain with the initial of his last name and of course a pic of our little cutie!

The bottlecap was purchased from Etsy already made.....yes, yes, I know...I should have made it myself, but it was already made and ready for shipping from a seller here in Missouri and was in my mailbox within two days of purchase!! How about them apples?? Better than I could have done!

Both men will be receiving other gifts along with these handmade ones, but THOSE are being kept secret!! Shhhhhh.....

Happy almost Father’s Day to you all!
I wanted to share with you the CUTEST Father’s Day idea! Madelyn came home with what looks like a reincarnation of the Pet Rock! Her class painted small river rocks, and then glued googly-eyes on them after they dried. Then they put them in a small bag labeled “My Dad Rocks”! HOW CUTE IS THAT? I LOVE it! Try it out at your home! I am just sorry that I missed all the rock painting fun!

Happy Father's Day to you all! A special Father's Day "shout out" to my father Mel and my wonderful husband Tim! Both of whom really are 2 of the most fantastic fathers in the world! They are truly the best! Another great man and father was my step-father, Glenn, who sadly has not been with us for over 3 years as he passed away 6 weeks before my daughter was born. He is GREATLY missed every minute of every day! Happy Father's Day Glenn, we love and miss you!

Father's Day is defined by Wikipedia as a celebration of fatherhood and male parenting, and to honor and commemorate our fathers and forefathers. Who knew? Betz White wrote it best in her post about her father. I could not agree more........about my OWN father that is!
Our Father's Day is being spent by lounging in our PJ's, drinking good coffee, playing with Play-Doh, napping, watching Shrek 3, spending time with each other as a family, just in general......nothing too special!

I REALLY want to take a moment to thank EVERYONE who stopped in here over the last 3 days to read my blog!!!! Thank you Margot at The Impatient Blogger for the Linky Love you gave me! I am truly touched by your words in your post. Thank you again, I am SO glad to have helped you that day! Currently, I am awaiting a shipment of beads to finish new orders, make new designs that are swimming around in my head and well......just plain make my day! It's like Christmas every time there is a box on my front porch! Fun!
