What We Do On Sick Days - Part 2

Hello all! Between Madelyn and I STILL being sick, and all the bad winter weather we received, we are doing our best in this house to keep occupied! The above picture is Madelyn's very own fashion show.....using what is in her closet. Today she has decided to be a fashion designer. Yesterday, and into this morning, she wanted to be a breakdancer. As we snuggled in bed this morning she told me that the planet Earth was boring because we had gravity. She wanted to be able to turn the gravity off like in outer space and float around. I said that maybe she should be an astronaut then. "No thanks", she said...."I still want to be a breakdancer". "How about a Breakdancing Austronaut?". I said. "Ohhhhh, Mommmm...", she said.

Under The Weather

Hello all! I took care of my little one all last week while she was sick. I started to get ill myself, but decided that I had no time for that at the moment. Well, the illness won. I broke down and went to the doctor yesterday. So, I am going to take a little intermission from blogging for a couple of days while I allow the antibiotics to work. I will still head off to my full-time job though so as not to lose said job....sticklers for attendance they are! But that will be all my body will allow me to do for a little bit....I am pooped already and I have not even gotten ready for work yet today....oy vey! Enjoy your break from me!! :)

Blahhhhh. Stomach bug since LAST Tuesday night!! Can not go too far from the bathroom! What is the worst? NOT getting to see my sister and nephews for the first time in over 2 years! Yup....THAT sick! My husband and daughter however DID get to go to St. Louis for the weekend to meet up with them. Hope I recover soon.....have to get back to work! Have a great week everyone, just in case I am still laid up! Take care!

Daring Young Mom

Hello all! Madelyn came home from preschool last Friday not feeling well so we waited out the weekend and took her to the pediatrician on Monday. Upper and Lower respiratory infections....woo hoo.

I am not sure what to say or were to begin. I have been home with her since then and I feel like I am about to go crazy. She is sick, sad, crabby, bored, cranky, cuddly, and sometimes just plain mean. I feel bad for her as I know that SHE feels yucky. Thank goodness she loves to take medicine, so I do not have to go through THAT fight with her! She is stuck to me 24/7. I have exhausted my ideas for sick play and entertainment. It does not help that a huge winter storm came in and we FINALLY have snow and I can not let her go out......*insert her temper tantrums here*.

I have decided after receiving this great link from a friend on mine, to share this with you all. I feel like this mom today. Read it, Enjoy it, Empathize with it!

Me is sick.

Me has Strep.

Me has fever.

Me went to work.

Me is tired.

Me is achy.

Me have headache.

Me throats hurts.

Me neck hurts.

Me ears hurt.

Me wants me mommy.

Me REALLY hopes me daughter does not get it.

Me could think of a better way to spend weekend.
